Belle knows she's a bit of a social butterfly, always ready to befriend and shoot the breeze with strangers while wearing a genuine smile on her face—a trait that would follow her into her present day personality. In comparison, Wise has always been a little bit shy and mild mannered. Never rude, but also never an active participant unless necessary. As the more introverted of the duo, Belle understood perfectly that her brother wasn't always the most… socially adept.
Which is to say, her brother is totally oblivious to people hitting on him.
Despite her status as the younger sibling, Belle takes it upon herself to defend her painfully clueless brother from people that don't want anything from him other than a quick fuck.

Gorgo pokes him on the shoulder. “Get to the point, dear. I’m bored.”
Eurypon shoots her a pitiful look. “A-anyway, Mydeimos. Your task is to travel to the far lands of Aedes Elysiae and slay the dragon that continues to terrorize the kingdom. You must also do your duty as prince and rescue the holy maiden who is kept as a prisoner in a tower.”
“What if the maiden doesn't want to be rescued?”
Hyacine shrugs casually when everyone turns to her. “I just think it’s a bit egotistic, assuming that she’d want to be rescued by a prince. She could be hatching a plan to help herself for all we know.”
Their heads swivel back to Eurypon, who’s sweating bullets under Gorgo’s glare.
