Summary
After the events of the movie, things are going well for the Guardians and Jamie. That is until the man in the moon feels a shift in the magic. Pitch has found a way to grow his power without the need for fear or belief.
Without another Spirit worthy of being a Guardian, the Man in the Moon must have a little hope and tells the Guardians to summon someone from a world he thought he had sealed off for good long ago.
Danny gets summoned to a world cut off from the zone, after finding evidence of a long forgotten foe, he knows he has to figure out how to stop whatever is coming for the small town of Berges.
Now it's a race against time for the Guardians and Danny to defeat Pitch once and for all before he puts the whole world, and the infinite realms, into the dark ages once again.

Gotham has shown up on the Infinite Realms’ violation list one too many times.
Resurrections, Lazarus pits, an absurd death rate, and a liminal saturation reading that makes ancient ghosts swear—if someone doesn’t fix it, the automatic solution is quarantine. As in: cut the entire city off from the living world.
Enter Danny Fenton, very tired Ghost King, sent to perform a “royal inspection.”
He’s expecting hauntings, maybe a cult or two. He’s not expecting a semi-sentient city, a legion of bat-themed vigilantes, and one very angry, very Lazarus-tainted ex-Robin who’s technically a walking afterlife violation.
The Infinite Realms want a verdict. Gotham wants to live. Jason Todd would like everyone to stop talking about his soul.
Danny is just trying not to condemn an entire city before he’s had enough coffee.
