Summary
Lucifer had 5 years on Earth before Chloe. What exactly had he been up to? Why was his immediate response to Chloe in the pilot to ask about what the corrupt police force was going to do about it? It takes several episodes (most of the first season) before Lucifer starts to see people as people and not a lumped together unworthy evil that were only good for a distraction. We know Chloe is who started to change his mind, but what made him that way in the first place?

Based on the prompt: Angels have certain instincts ingrained in their species- neurotic need for neatness, extreme protectiveness over people and things they consider “theirs,” and an extreme fascination by anything shiny. Cutting off his wings muted these instincts somewhat, but now that the wings are back, so are the angel instincts- full force.

And that’s the problem. Ella’s doing her totally-not-worrying-about-Lucifer-thing when she sees a uni drop off a bag of cheese puffs on Chloe’s desk, trailing a hand up Lucifer’s arm. She must say something because Lucifer laughs.
