Summary
Ever since the discovery of hybrids was first reported, Qiu Dingjie had longed to own one. That is why he cherished his wolf hybrid, Huang Xing, despite the hybrid’s bad attitude and tendency to be defiant. Qiu Dingjie doted on him and indulged his every whim. He treated Huang Xing as a friend rather than a pet, unlike most people.
Until one day, the hybrid suddenly said,
"What if I want to be more than friends with you?"

Summary
Huang Xing doesn't want a lover. He wants a corpse he can keep breathing just long enough to finish taking apart. Qiu Dingjie is the most infuriatingly intact thing he's ever encountered: a lawyer so surgically perfect, so arrogantly composed, that Huang Xing wants nothing more than to introduce a few fractures, watch him crack along fault lines he didn't know he had, and crawl inside the wreckage to live rent-free. What begins as corporate sabotage becomes something far more dangerous: two predators circling each other in the dark, destroying everyone who gets too close, destroying each other, bound together by a hunger that tastes like copper and ends like a gunshot.
