Summary
Ivan has been working as a guide for the past four years, while Till awakened recently in a disastrous incident that left hundreds of civilians hospital-bound. Having the opportunity to be assigned as Till's guide that will whip Till's esper powers into shape, Ivan snaps at the chance to rekindle his past friendship with his estranged childhood friend.

“Till, you really, really should join!” Mizi looked up at her friend with pleading amber eyes filled with a hopeful sparkle. It was so hard to deny Mizi of all people, especially with that look in her eyes, but Till was still hesitant to accept her offer, his inexperience and fear holding him back.
“Are you sure you’re not being too hasty?” The last thing he wanted was for them to do all this out of pity’s sake.
“We’ve known each other since we were little kids! I’d say we’ve waited too long to form a pack! It’ll be so much fun! We’ll apply for a pack dormitory, we’ll get to all live with each other and be dormmates!"

Fugo hesitated after identifying Giorno’s form. Just an hour before the start of the party, the two had found themselves in yet another argument. They’ve been having those often lately—dragged out, ugly disputes where Fugo felt the urge to rip out his own hair because it was becoming excruciatingly clear they would never see eye to eye. Nowadays, there were more likely days that they’d be arguing then not. Fugo would yell, break, and lash out; he’d fight so hard just to reach Giorno, but the more he raised his voice and yelled out his partner’s name in exasperation, the more Giorno would recede into himself and drift further away.

”Is this… uhm,” Riku clears his throat. “Is this Kairi Kekoa?”
”Yes…?” She replies, and Riku can hear cogs churning in her brain as she tries to place his voice, tries to place his accent, familiar (of course, the island’s twang was impossible to lose completely), but tinged with a new city sound. “Who is this?”
”Kairi,” Riku starts, and god, he’s so bad at this. He stares up at the ceiling. “It’s uhm. It’s Riku. Riku Akana?”

Summary
For the most part, though, knowing what one's dynamic is is entirely obsolete. The concept of dynamics, of Alpha and Omega, are all but bred out of existence long before Ivan was captured from the slums and brought here to be taught civilization — that is, a civilization of a sort. Ivan isn't even that well-read, given that he doesn't have much time out of his other studies, but he discovered through forbidden texts that most humans that are alive right now are Beta thanks to the Aliens' meddling.
It really didn't matter.
That's what Ivan told himself, anyway, until his dynamic presented.
Or: Alpha and omega were bred out of humans... unless you're Ivan and Till.
