Summary
Part 1 of Fear, Fate, and Fangs in which Astarion and Tav's love story begins.
This work follows the events of Baldur's Gate 3 from Astarion's POV. It is an attempt to portray Astarion as a psychological being. I'm not analyzing him or losing myself in theories (though I am relying on psychological constructs, and my beta is a psychologist), this is rather a genuine attempt to understand him emotionally. This is why I try not to sugarcoat his actions, or idolize the 'she can fix him' trope (it might happen, though, because I, too, have my blind spots, so don't be mad at me, please).
Over the course of chapters, the language will change a bit. When Astarion opens up, so does his perspective. It's very centered and narrow at the beginning but will expand over time.
However, since this is as much a love story, there will be a lot of intimacy (sexual as well as non-sexual).There will be angst, there will be fluff, and there will be romance. There will be a lot of heartbreaking drama. But since this is a story about healing, I can assure you that eventually, everything will be fine.

Summary
Power and indulgence truly motivated Astarion in every reality. At the very least, he knew this about himself. But, Venin, the party leader, empowered him. And he could indulge himself with her. He didn't know what intimacy meant to him, but he was excited by the idea of finding out with this friend, his friend.
The multi-chapter fic where Astarion, Venin, and their party pull off a heist at a masquerade ball to break Venin's contract with Raphael and stop (or complete) the Rite of Profane Ascension. Completed writing but posting weekly. Fuck artificial intelligence <3

Summary
This work will alternate POV between Astarion, Gale, and Halsin, and focus on character exploration, and expanding on a lot of sub-plots from the game regarding the three of them. The canon events will still occur, but a little out of order, and sometimes for different reasons.
The main plot will revolve around Astarion’s gradual discovery of the Black Mass Ritual, and all the Infernal implications of its completion. His past trauma will feature heavily in this fic, and all that entails. The basic idea is that the Black Mass has been centuries in the making, and there are those in the Hells who would rather not see it succeed… at least not as Cazador intends.

The only thing Willow didn’t want to be was his spawn. And months ago, that was the dealbreaker.TLDR: After the fall of the Netherbrain and the end of her relationship with the Vampire Ascendant, Willow still wants a family. Astarion still wants her back.
