Summary
Park Jimin had decided very well for himself that things like mating, courtships, and the whole happily ever after were never really going to be his thing.
The only time he’d ever come close to considering a mate for himself was years ago. He’d let himself be swept away with the alpha’s sweet smile, his bashful red ears, and his gentle deflection. Jimin should have known that once the boy would finally present, that kind, gentle alpha he once knew would be gone, replaced by the cold, angry brute that sought violence over a day out in the meadows with him.
Under pressure from his father to find a mate by Yuletide's end, Jimin agrees to participate in the courting rituals the festival would ensue, a quick resolution he couldn't care to think too deeply about.
Yet, as ominous whispers about their forest's terrors intensified, Jimin finds himself ensnared in the magnetic pull of Jeongguk's attention once again.
Behind the walls Jeongguk built around himself, Jimin glimpses fragments of the friend he once knew, a future he may have given up on too swiftly, and this time around, he wouldn't back down so easily.

Summary
“Take me,” Jeongguk uttered, sounding more … breathy than he intended to.
Jimin stared at him wide-eyed and flustered, before shaking his head shedding off any unruly thoughts, and turned back to the driver's wheel, fumbling about with the keys to re-ignite the engine.
“H-home”, Jeongguk corrected himself quickly, feeling even more flushed than before. “I meant take me…home?” He glanced at the alpha to find his gaze already set on him. Jimin gave him a small sheepish smile.
Jeongguk and Jimin deal with the effects of Jeonguk's heat hitting him on the day of their first date while their past haunts their present

With the help of Jimin, the kind alpha whose presence has served as a balm to Jeongguk's wounds, his hyungs who he had left behind, and a little bit of Christmas magic, Jeongguk learns to not just cope with his reality but live in it too.
