    “What? Why not?”

     

    “Look around you, man. We're freaking fading. I think whatever’s happening is only temporary.”

     

    What? Finney panicked. He looked over the boys, looking for something wrong that wasn't already there, and saw that they were really fading. Literally.

     

    ...Why did they appear in front of him if they're going to leave him so soon? Why give him that hope? 

     

    Robin said before that it would be the last call. It was painful then. Now, all the boys appeared in front of him but they're going away so soon and it's impossibly even more crushing.

     

    Or the ghost boys appeared before Finney just after he killed the Grabber and so he decided he wanted to see more of them. Fate probably decided to stop making him their bitch, and gave him a chance to turn things around.
