Summary
"Rhaenyra?" - Her uncle questions her.
"Otto Hightower is a very ambitious man, and the mere sight of his face disgusts me. And quite frankly, I'm tired. We can continue this tomorrow, right father?"
Her father looks at her with a stern face, but he nods at her after a while, allowing her to leave the room.
She can't hear his words after she leaves.
"Lady Hightower is an excellent decision, I need Lord Hightower's loyalty to this kingdom. He controls the biggest army on the land and tying him to us by marriage will be an excellent choice for the future."
Lady Aemma nods, her daughter needs to learn the ways of the ruler, one way or another.

Summary
“You want me as the handler?” Alicent isn’t so surprised. A little disappointed maybe but she’d assumed they might want to ease her back in before putting her into the field with direct contact with targets again.
Harrold quirks his mouth. “Case officer actually. You're moving up in the world, Hightower. No direct interaction with Cole but you’ll oversee a small team there and you’ll be working directly with the asset to bring her in. Someone you know actually.”
“Thank you, Sir. I’m grateful for the opportunity. Who is the asset?”
He slides a file over. Alicent opens it. The first page has three photos on it. Her eyes shoot immediately to the third photo.
Oh Gods.
Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Summary
Alicent arrives at court at the age of six and ten, with only one thought in mind: she will be queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
It won’t be an easy task, her father tells her. King Viserys, only a decade older than Alicent herself, remains wholly reluctant to remarry. He already has an heir, he insists, and has no need to find a new wife. Princess Rhaenyra, a girl of seven, is her father’s darling only child, and heir to his throne.
Alicent is certain she'll convince him otherwise. But then again, things rarely go the way one plans.
