Those were the rules Marc lived by to be able to survive in this god forsaken world.
...This is a Marc-centric fic that came into being because I was revisiting my old original stories and this one world and setting fit the Re-verse very well, so I decided to put my two favorite babies in it and make them suffer just a tiny bit.
Also I love the image of Marc being a punk in the Re-verse so this fic is also basically me showing how that would go. Enjoy and suffer with me on this journey of self-discovery spiced up by a lot of guilt in the process -

Summary
Nathaniel and Marc hated each other since the very day they met. Although no one really remembered what it was about, their relationship started off with a fight. And it just stayed that way for two years now. There were no signs that it would change anytime soon. Those two despised each other with the same passion they had for their hobbies, which said a lot. At least to those who knew them.
They say that opposites should attract. But they were proof that that saying isn't true when two people are opposite in every way possible. One an artist, the other a writer. One showed, the other told and described. Nathaniel was quiet and preferred when others didn't see him. He didn't like bothering people. Marc, while he wasn't the loudest vocally speaking, was a person impossible to ignore, and that was the point. He wanted to be seen, and didn't care if someone was against what he represented.This fics was one of my many what-if's, and just so you know, I have no idea how often I will update chapters. It's just a trowaway fic while I'm writing my others, so also donn't expect anything big. Still, I would apreciate any feedback you might have, no matter how insignificant. Your ideas are also very welcome.

Summary

"Damn," Jabber says, voice echoing through the emptiness of the shrine and bouncing off the walls. "Never seen something like this before."
"I would hope not," someone says, and he whirls around sharply enough that he stumbles and nearly falls, looking up to find the source of the voice.
There's a man on the roof. Jabber swears that he wasn't there a minute ago, because he'd just come from the walkway underneath that very roof and he would've noticed. He doesn't look older than him, but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to gods. And he has to be a god — it's the only thing that makes sense. The way he'd appeared out of nowhere, the old clothes that nobody wears anymore, the colors all over him that happen to be a perfect match of the shrine around them.
The fact that his eyes are glowing the same blue as the water.
(Jabber doesn't mean to stumble into an abandoned shrine, but he's not about to leave so easily now that this place has drawn his attention. The only other person here is a god who refuses to acknowledge his divinity and fights like it's the only thing keeping him alive, hiding a secret beneath them that Jabber's determined to uncover.)

Zanka Nijiku is a freshly graduated psychology student.
Fresh out of school, it is time for him to get his first real job as a psychologist.He takes on a job at a psychiatric hospital, where he gets assigned a key patient, a particularly difficult patient.
Jabber Wonger is this difficult patient.
Hes been in and out of the institution since very early on in his childhood.Upon meeting, they didn’t think much of eachother.
Zanka saw a challenge, not a person. A patient to help who others had claimed was unable to be helped.
And Jabber saw just another know it all doctor, who’d pretend to understand him and of all that bullshit.
But they couldn’t have been more wrong about eachother.
