His lungs heave in air as they separate, but Wei Wuxian won’t let him go. There is still a tight, possessive hold around his waist as Wei Wuxian leans his head in to lick and nibble marks onto his unblemished skin. Jiang Cheng is sure that by the time they’re leaving the building, he will be forced to find something to hide the new purple collar Wei Wuxian is attempting to suck around his neck.
“Wei Wuxian!” Jiang Cheng clutches the back of the other’s head, twisting his fingers into his hair. “Did you—hngh—lock the door?”
There is a brief pause as they both glance at the door. Wei Wuxian shrugs, “Sure.”
“Sure—? Did you or not —!” Jiang Cheng is cut off as Wei Wuxian bites particularly hard on his collarbone. "Ah! Stop biting me, you animal!"
It's Wei Wuxian's birthday, and his plans involve dressing up his dear didi for their night out. Jiang Cheng unfortunately cannot say no.

"Heartbroken, Not by Sword, Eyes Weeping, Not by Dust"Under the stress of the Sunshot Campaign, Wèi Wúxiàn and Jiāng Chéng marry to rectify a lapse, although for Wèi Wúxiàn he couldn’t imagine doing it with anyone else. They make the best of it, and Wèi Wúxiàn is sure they can make it work, until the new life they made doesn’t come into the world alive.
Now, instead of returning to the hard-won Lotus Pier in triumph, they return with a tiny box of ashes and a pressure to move on. Doing so seems to require making another new life, so they do, but neither of them is prepare for how much the loss of their first child will impact everything about the second.
