With a push from the only person he trusts to have his best interests in mind, he flees. All of it. Instead, he dones a veil, new robes, a new cultivation technique, and picks up several street rats.
He may have also accidentally started his own Sect. Whoops.
What he doesn't appreciate is when old faces begin snooping in on his business.
Or: I say fuck you to canon and give Shen Jiu his own sect, family, and ability to work through his emotional issues. (And a boyfriend, but that comes later.)

He has no need to be a part of a trashy romance where the soon-to-be-King spends his time killing monsters, sleeping with enough people to make other harem love interests' jaws drop, or killing anyone who rejects him or looks at him funny. At least the A/B/O thing is a minor plotline..
So when the heroically injured protagonist turns up on his doorstep a little while before the main plot begins, Kim Dokja slams the door in Crown Prince Yoo Joonghyuk's face. (He resolves to do this every time the male lead comes back. Unfortunately, between him and the door, the door's breaking first.)

(Toda a história se passa pelo ponto de vista do LQ)
Resumo: O pequeno LQ encontra o pequeno SJ na casa dos Qiu enquanto estava de passagem com os pais dele e percebe que tem alguma coisa errada. Na mesma noite, ele sai do quarto onde ele e os seus pais estavam hospedados nos Qiu's e andando pela casa encontra o SJ todo espancado(e absd tbm) mal conseguindo se manter de pé e então o pega no colo e sai correndo com ele nos braços para o quarto onde os pais dele estão pra ajudarem ele. Depois de ver o que tinham feito com o SJ, os pais do LQ ajudaram o curando e saindo de lá na mesma hora, levando o SJ junto.
Eles todos voltam pra propriedade dos Liu's e o SJ passa a viver lá e ser tratado como alguém da família, até mesmo sendo considerado filho dos pais do LQ.
LQ e SJ são inseparáveis agora e depois de 4 anos vivendo felizes, o SJ decide ir pra seita CQ pra cultivar suas bases espirituais que são muito boas. SJ ainda quer tentar encontrar o Yue QI, mas acha que ele pode ter morrido. O LQ vai junto com ele fazer os exames de admissão porque não quer que eles fiquem longe um do outro.

Depois de algum tempo cultivando o LQ já é chamado de Deus da Guerra e ele e o SJ estão juntos sempre que podem.
LQ está sendo treinado pra ser o discípulo principal, mas não percebe porque é meio lerdo.
Todos estão se preparando pra a conferência imortal e o LQ já conheceu o Yue Qingyuan, mas não sabe que ele é o QI ge do SJ e acaba fazendo eles se reencontrarem sem querer. Ele fica com ciúmes e acaba começando a perceber que ele tem esse tipo de sentimento pelo SJ.
O YQ é ele mesmo e não fala nada, o SJ fica triste e bravo e o LQ fica morrendo de ciúmes. -
