No matter how many cat box tales we write, no one can change the ending of Umineko. It will always be the same when you flip to the end of the manga or play through the game on your computer. The ending can't be changed... or can it? What if I could show you a devil's proof, a tale built out of the darkness beyond the sight of the surviving witnesses? What if I show you a story that contradicts nothing in the Single Truth of Eva's diary or the end of Episode 8, but that adds on to the story you know? What if I wove you an illusion that begs you to accept a different truth? Can it convince you? A miracle will happen if we all believe.

Summary
Healing magic is the most difficult, and in its way by far the most powerful, type of magic. It is also decidedly not what most magical girls do, especially judging by the media and merchandising. Restarting a heart - either literally or by restoring someone's capacity to love - is nowhere near as photogenic as blowing up a monster. What, then, of those who master the art, save lives night after night, knowing it is their calling and yet seeing the fame and adulation go elsewhere?
Fortunately, sometimes having the right friend is all that is needed to start on the road to recovery.
