Summary
So Mydei watches Phainon slumber, for there is nothing else to do, or so he tells himself. Like this, he can observe all he wants, and the mermaid can’t make a fuss. He brings a gentle hand to tuck his bangs behind his ear, and traces his fingertips down his jaw.
Even if he finds Phainon irritating, even if he wishes to be alone, he can’t relinquish the fact he saved him. Found him in the dark abyss and plucked him from his grave. For that, he does not know if he should be grateful, but he knows he should be less harsh with him.
Mydeimos tries to find a cure for his terminally ill mother, Queen Gorgo, but attempt after attempt he fails. On his last chance, he captures a mermaid, a creature whose flesh should solve his woes, but he can't bring himself to kill and sets him free.
And when his father learns of such an act years later, he condemns him to drown in the same ocean where he enacted his betrayal, only to be saved by the very same mermaid who brings him to a secluded island to heal.

Summary
When the doors swing inward, Mydei stops short before he can take his first step into the apartments. His mind goes blank, thoughts completely wiped out at the sight of the creature at his feet.
Mydei slowly brings the broken door back into the frame and secures it in place. He shakes his head incredulously, hoping it's just a trick of the mind before he peeks in through the opening between the double doors. Nope, the beast is still there, only now it is awkwardly waddling away back down the corridor.
What in Strife's name is such a terrible creature doing here and why is the Deliverer letting it run free in his apartments full of his precious and very breakable knickknacks?

Mydei has never had a fear he couldn't conquer. If you were to ask him, the only thing he truly fears is failing Amphoreus, though that will never happen. When a curse manifests some of Mydei's most embarrassing fears into reality, he isn't the one to pay the price. To make things right, Mydei and Phainon have to start being honest about their feelings, the fate of the world quite literally depends on it.

Summary
Mydei doesn't involve himself in relationships of any kind. He doesn't. It's always easier to simply exist next to them and offering them a hand, but he has a secret to keep and it's much safer for the both of them. However, he didn't take into account that starting to work in an animal shelter and meeting an older, particularly insisting man would lead to everything that he thought he would never dare to taste.
