Richmond's leadership team needs a reset. A rough finish to the season has led to disconnect throughout the club.
Rebecca expects a weekend of forced bonding and ridiculous team-building exercises. Instead, she discovers how easy it is to fall into step with Ted.
Nobody puts them together, but somehow, he keeps ending up beside her.
If she's going to be stuck participating in team building, she may as well have the one person she doesn't mind being stuck with.
Maybe team building has less to do with working together than knowing who's going to be there when you need a hand. She just hadn't expected to want to keep holding it.

Her eyes drop to his mouth quickly, then climb back up to his eyes.
“That’s awfully generous of you.”
"Mm." She sets her glass down and tips her head toward the floor. "Come back out with me?"
"Whatever you want, Rebecca."
It cuts right through the alcohol. Rebecca. Not boss.
He doesn't seem to notice he's done it and is already reaching for her hand. She doesn't say anything. Just laces her fingers through his and pulls him back out into the crowd. Rebecca doesn't look back to check if he's following, just keeps her fingers laced loosely through his, like they've done this a hundred times instead of never.

The headlights fill the windshield.Her hands move before she decides and the car moves with them and she gets almost a bit of the road between them, but she knows it's not enough.
There’s just enough time for one silly thought to flicker through her mind.I’m going to be late for dinner.
Then metal crashes into metal.

Summary
They sit there for a second, eyes locked and full of mirth, her self-satisfied smirk as she takes another sip, drops of tea rolling down his rounded cheeks, and then it’s over, they’re both cackling, her deep belly laugh that she rarely lets out mixing with his pleased giggle. She feels giddy, silly in a way that used to feel familiar but hasn’t as of late, free. She manages another sip of tea, actually swallowing this time, but not before Ted can jerk his arms up in surrender, eliciting a fresh burst of laughter from both of them.
Just another attempt at salvaging season 3, starting from the end of 3x10.
