Of all the days for Volt to work from home… Part of you is glad that Eddie is out of the house, working on his current build. Of course he’ll be home by dinnertime, and you don’t have a single hope that Volt’s rut will be over by then, but at the very least maybe you can temper the worst of Volt’s intrusive desires before Eddie arrives. It’s easier this way, one-on-one. You can focus on taking care of Volt (and the growing need between your own legs as his intoxicating scent continues to fill the room) instead of having to worry right away about Volt and Eddie’s reaction to Volt’s first rut. You almost want to laugh, thinking that it’s finally your turn to help Volt, since Eddie got to be there when he presented.

“You know, when you asked me to help with maintenance again, this isn’t exactly what I had in mind, Eddie.”
He grumbles as he shuffles on the mattress under you, trying his best not to blush when you swing your leg over his thighs to straddle him. “Believe me, I would have asked Volt for help if he was available, but someone has to run the club.” His head lolls to the side with a frown on his face, his hands balling into fists as you pull on the heavy duty gloves you borrowed from Tony. “Besides, this was a surprise to me too.”
Eddie and Volt still have their good and bad days, now that they’ve been reset—you’ve come to accept the fact that the reset made them better, but it by no means fixed them. The surges and outages will always affect them as long as they’re your breaker box, and so will any faulty or damaged wires. Which, brings you to Eddie’s open chestplate.

You watch as Volt's temper simmers down, but his rage and distrust never leave the set of his brow. His skin returns to its normal pale color, and he reaches out to grab your wrist before pulling you forward. His face is so close to yours, you can feel his breath puffing out over your own lips. It sends a shiver down your spine. You can't help but remember the soft way he kissed you out on the dance floor past the Breaker Box's doors right before everything fell apart.
A malicious grin takes over his face as he watches you tremble. "You want to prove yourself so badly? You want to offer us a reprieve?" When you nod, Volt tilts his head. "And you'll truly do anything?"
"Whatever it takes," you promise.
"And take you will continue to do." Volt stands to his full height without releasing your wrist and closes the door to the Breaker Box behind himself. Then he drags you the short walk from the electrical closet to your own bedroom and shoves you down until you fall against your bed.
