He turned to look at Akechi. "If you were to get a pet, what would you want?"
There was a pause as Akechi gave it thought. Pets were a big responsibility, but some were easier than others. Iguanas, fish, birds, all easy pets, low maintenance, but they weren't very social. You could socialize with them but they couldn't give you the same comfort and dopamine as other pets, like cats and dogs could give you. Gently tapping his finger against his leg in thought, the brunette had no idea how to answer that question.
"No iguana, huh?" Ren teased, trying to break up the silence.

Ren stilled and nearly dropped the spoon in the pot. He turned to look at him, brows furrowed. His eyes seemed to dart away in thought for a moment before setting back on maroon ones. "You want to learn how to cook? After three years?"
