“I will make my welcoming spiel three times longer and tie you to your chair if I have to.” Dick beamed at him. “As I was saying, thank you for coming, I know it’s hard to drag yourself out of bed and halfway across the city to meet here after a Friday night patrol. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed some disturbing patterns in the case logs, so I figured it’d be best to get that all sorted out before it could snowball. Now, who here has heard of White Rabbit?”
Or: Dick just wants to make sure that this White Rabbit fella isn't a threat to his family. Of course, everything backfires.

Summary
Tim Drake lived a perfectly happy life at Drake Manor, his parents weren't home often but that suited Tim just fine. He was enrolled in the best school in the country, had great friends and as soon as his Affiliation settled he was set to be one of the most powerful magic users in Gotham, if not North America.
At least all of that was true a month ago. Now Tim has been removed by Child Protective Services after a disastrous presentation and forced to live with his next door neighbours, the Wayne family. He's pretty sure Damian wants to kill him, Jason wants to throw him off Wayne Manor's highest point and Dick wants to cuddle him to death but at least Bruce is helping him get his magic under control. As soon as he can figure out how to get the charges against his family dropped, everything will be fine.

Summary
At eleven, Tim Drake tried to blackmail Batman into making him Robin. Batman made it clear that he did not want another Robin, and certainly didn't want Tim. Which is...fine. But Batman tattling to his parents about Tim's hobbies and getting him sent to a boarding school overseas feels a little targeted. Now, he is back in Gotham under the conditions of 1) not bothering the Waynes, 2) not blabbing about his home life, and 3) following through on "familial duties."
So, why is Dick Grayson trying to talk to him at a gala?
Or:
Tim misunderstands adults, Dick is concerned, Bruce is trying very hard to adopt this feral child, and Jason is still Tim's favorite superhero.
