    Summary

Jaskier hadn't thought Geralt was lying when he had said that the Witchers would spend most of the winter in their wolf form, because Geralt wasn't really the type to lie about things like that. That being said, it had still been a shock to fall asleep next to a man shaped Witcher and wake up cuddled up to a wolf shaped one.

    Summary

Geralt learns that Jaskier sleeps with men. Oddly enough he gets angry. Jaskier thinks Geralt is judging him. But maybe the issue is something else entirely. Hmmm I wonder what it could be?

    ...

“If you’re going to treat our room like a brothel you should get your own,” barked Geralt. “That way you can entertain all the cock you want for however long you desire.”

The mud on Geralt was drying to a crust and he looked absolutely miserable. Jaskier was at a loss. He tried a different tack.

“Geralt you need to bathe. You smell like rotten entrails.”

“If am so revolting then leave,”

Geralt plopped back down on the chair and stared menacingly at the floor.

    Summary

The only plot here is these two dummies seeing more in each other than the world does and falling madly in love.

    ----

“What I want to know is,” Jaskier continued. “has anyone ever...taken care of you?”

“Taken care of me? Of course. That’s what I pay for after all,” answered Geralt.

“No, no. I don’t mean orgasm.” said Jaskier. “I mean. Taken care of you.  Taken you. Have you ever utterly surrendered?”

“You and your pretty words,” said Geralt. “Be plain, Jaskier.”

Jaskier said.  “Fine. Has anyone ever fucked you until your toes curled?”

Geralt was still and thought a moment before he answered. “That isn’t usually what people want from me.”

“Yes, but people are tragically unimaginative. No one is only one thing. Least of all you.”

“I suppose that’s true,” answered Geralt.

    Summary

Winter is coming (hehe), and Jaskier feels like he is going to freeze to death in his bedroll at night. It takes a frustrating amount of cajoling and begging to get Geralt to relent and share his bedroll with him.

But once they are finally tucked into the covers together, Jaskier has to confront his powerful feelings for his friend. He also learns why Geralt was so resistant to the idea of huddling for warmth in the first place.

    -----------
Jaskier resolved to ask again, and louder.

He didn’t do anything in silence, why should suffering be any different?

As Geralt rolled out his bedroll, Jaskier stood in front of him, hands planted firmly on his hips

“I know all this cold doesn’t bother you, Geralt,” he said, “what with your witchery composition.” He gestured at him, fingers wiggling. “But I’m a mere human. We must huddle for warmth.”

Geralt looked up. His golden eyes caught the setting sun. The way the rays hit his hair, it almost looked like he was wearing a halo.

Not that Jaskier was yearning, damnit. That’s just how poets saw the world.

Geralt seemed to consider his answer for a moment, tilting his head adorably. Then he grunted. “I gave you a blanket.”

    Summary

Jaskier finds out about Geralt’s enhanced senses months after meeting him. He is outraged. But it works out just fine in the end.

    -----

“You’ve been reading my mind?!” Jaskier shrieked.

“No,” groaned Geralt, “it’s not like that.” He squeezed his eyes shut and rubbed the bridge of his nose, regretting every choice he had made in his life that led him to that moment.

“How could you?! You never said!!”

Geralt had actually thought that Jaskier already knew about his enhanced senses. The bard’s ballads were so exaggerated, you’d think Geralt was some kind of all powerful mage.
