Summary
“Why would you save me?”
Aang parted and closed his lips repeatedly, trying to pick only one answer, among the thousands of reasons he could conjure.
Because you deserve a second chance to live. Because I deserve a second chance to change your mind. Because you haven’t seen the good in the world yet. Because I want to show it to you. Because I don’t want to be the last one of our people. Because-
“I couldn't let you go.”

Summary
"For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life." - Leviticus 17:11.

Summary
During the seven months since the attack on Blissful Retreat, Yi Dao had been a true friend - Steadfast, caring, even kind, though the man would never admit it. Nero should feel grateful, he should see the Blade's companionship like aunt Han's protection, or uncle Jiang's instruction, but instead...
An annoying, persistent feeling had slipped under his skin. It flared like a fever whenever the older man stepped too close, whenever he looked his way, whenever he called him that stupid nickname.
He would just need to push through it, however. There was no way the man felt the same way.
Right?

Summary
When Matt took the bullet aimed for Fisk, Dex watched with both disappointment and wonder. How his blood splattered, how his limbs gave out under him, how his hand reached up, accepting death so gracefully.
As if he knew something reserved only to him and all the other saints.
Dex decided he wanted to know it too.
