They met, they worked together and they flirted, but when Reyes Vidal showed his second face, Sara felt blindsided and decided to leave him and whatever they had behind. Now the Collective was looking to strengthen and legitimise their power in the Andromeda and Sara had to attend the ball with all the important players and face Reyes again. It should have been easy: go in, smile, chat up some people and slip out before situation gets out of hand. It wasn't all that serious, their short tryst- so why the hell was she hurting so much?
Set a few months post Meridian.

Summary
Sara fell for Reyes quickly and with no restraint, but when she found out that he had been lying to her she left him just as swiftly, their encounters since strictly bisiness. Now Pathfinder came to Tartarus to play a game, but nobody knows games and manipulation better than Charlatan, so things are coming to a boiling point in the small office during one of the night parties in the club.
1st chapter is Sara's POV, the 2nd Reyes'- the same scene, pick your version type of thing. -

Shepard destroyed the Reapers and survived. She never accounted for this to happen, so the galaxy isn't the only thing that is in need of putting together- her life is too. She denied Kaidan a place on the Normandy and sent him to Hackett to protect him and his heart, but now there's too much bad blood between them and she doesn't see a way of fixing it. When she becomes a Councillor on the Citadel and Kaidan is still working as a Spectre she is forced to face her feelings for him as they navigate the new reality.
