It’s not until later when they are freshly showered and dressed comfortably in their pj’s, take out boxes in hand while they watch their nineteenth rewatch of Grey's Anatomy (Mira’s favourite), that Rumi finds the courage to bring up just what had been circling her mind since...since-
“Were…were you two serious…about what you said…earlier.”
Zoey’s chopsticks pause halfway to her mouth, and Mira quickly turns the sound of the TV down.
“You’re going to need to be a little more specific than that Princess.” Mira says, leaning back on the sofa and slipping her fingers between Rumi’s and giving them a light squeeze.
“About...you know. Denying me. Properly. For longer.”
