Summary
Shane Hollander has known Ilya Rozanov for most of his life.
Long before they were professional hockey players on opposite sides of the ice, Ilya was his older brother Alex's best friend, the loud, reckless boy who somehow became a permanent fixture in Shane's life.
Now they're adults, playing for different teams and living in different cities. They barely see each other anymore, and Shane has gotten used to it.
At least, that's what he tells himself.
When Montreal and Boston meet again, their old friendship begins to change into something neither of them expected. But falling for your brother's best friend is complicated enough without professional hockey, a team that doesn't always accept Shane for who he is, and an overprotective brother who has never believed anyone could be good enough for Shane.
Alex trusts Ilya with his own life. Trusting him with Shane is another matter.
Or, Shane Hollander realizes that maybe falling in love with his brother's best friend is considerably more complicated when his brother has spent his entire life making sure nobody gets close enough to break his heart.
