Hakoda eyes her warily. “Why are you telling me this?”
Because Suki is desperate for someone she can rely on, for someone who won’t stab her in the back, and he seems like a person who won’t be able to get on the guards’ good side no matter what he does, and also—“I have friends in the Water Tribe. They wouldn’t want you to have a harder time than necessary.” He reminds her of Sokka, and she misses Sokka with an intensity that hurts.

Summary
Thinking in hindsight, Sokka would've probably hated the play more, but he was kind of distracted at the moment, and he kind of blames Suki. They both knew it was kind of stupid, but the play was very very boring, and nobody was paying attention to them in the back bench, and well... we're all going to die soon anyway, so might as well make it count, right?
(You all can't tell me that Sokka and Suki didn't take *full advantage* of the fact that they were staying in a large, comfy beach house with no adults around and plenty of time to spare.)

Colin laughs in agreement, but he thinks it would have felt somewhere between heavenly and phenomenal if she’d fallen on his lap. He thinks her tits pressed under his chin would have been perfectly fine--lovely, in fact. He thinks it’s criminal that he can’t currently recall what her skin feels like, just what the warmth of her felt like through several layers of cotton.
