Summary
Draco barely has time to mourn the death of his beloved headmaster, Tom Riddle, before he discovers that he’s been written into the man’s Will. He’s left with a set of three ominous instructions deemed to be of life-or-death importance: determine the nature of a mysterious ring, discern the specific reason for the Ashbringer’s immortality, and discover the exact verbiage of the prophecy that made Draco an orphan.
But following his posthumous instructions proves difficult as life at Hogwarts begins to break down. The Order of the Phoenix has begun creeping into the school in Riddle’s absence, and though Draco’s friends in the D.A. do what they can to stymie their efforts to take over the school and disappear Draco into the clutches of the Ashbringer, it may not be enough.
After all, the threat to the school—and to Draco specifically—has never been greater.

Summary
Bitten at sixteen and bonded to Potter at nineteen as a last-ditch effort by the Order to save the Saviour from himself, Draco had come to terms with the cold reality of their arrangement. Potter needed a mate and Draco needed his mother free from Azkaban. Neither of them needed anything else. Not affection, or friendship, or love, no matter how tempting.
