After that hospital stint, Jean swore that she would no longer get involved.
She's paid her dues to Spiderman—to Peter Parker, and the next best course of action was to lay low for a few months before trying to meet up with other mutants like her.
But meeting Peter "Spiderman" Parker was like getting infected with an unshakeable virus that no amount of self-imposed ornery and bitterness could ever chase away.
Naturally, like all acts of good always does, never does it ever go unpunished.
"Ma'am, I know things are really scary right now but I—oh my god, Jean Grey?"
And naturally, of course, friendly neighborhood Peter "Spiderman" Parker just had to save her.

Summary
“…you want me to what?” Rumi looks up at her in shock. Mira has to look away. The two small purple appendages that have been growing from Rumi’s forehead had become increasingly larger and thus harder to look at.
Mira takes the hat off of her own head and holds it out towards Rumi, “Just…cover them up. It just seems a little inappropriate.”
Rumi takes the hat with shaky hands and stares at it, “It’s not something I can help.”
“Well.” Mira shrugs, “I can’t help having tits, and you don’t see me walking around with them out.”
It wasn’t an exactly a fair comparison, but it was enough to get Rumi to bring the hat to her head to place it on. A bit of the horns still showed, so Mira had to push it down a bit. “There we go.” Mira smiles, “You look prettier.”
Rumi doesn’t thank her, but she does nod in agreement.

Summary
Mi-yeong vanished before Celine ever got to see the baby they were going to raise. All she knows is, years later, Celine felt Mi-yeong's death. She never found out why.
In the future, Celine has managed to find Mira and Zoey, but never their third hunter. Mira and Zoey eventually had to debut as a duo. After so long, the two of them had started to wonder if they were ever going to find their third.
Then one day, the Honmoon began to ripple in pain despite no tears, leading them to a man who claims his cult captured a demon. They did not expect, upon investigating said cult, that the kinda-demon they held was- somehow- their third hunter.
OR; the AU where Rumi was not raised by Celine. She grew up alone and confused in the foster system, not knowing what she was or why she could see things others couldn't, and all the troubles that come with it.

Finally, Zoey blurted it out, voice soft but sharp:
“Have you ever thought of… something besides monogamy?”
Mira’s thumb stilled on the screen. She looked up, slow. “…What?”
Zoey’s hands twisted in her lap. “Like—not open relationships. Just… not just one person. Have you ever thought about being with more than one person and it still being okay?”
She wasn’t looking at Mira. Her voice was tight, like it hurt to speak. Mira watched her with a furrowed brow, still quiet.
“I feel so guilty all the time. Because I love you, Mira. I love you, and this doesn’t change that, but I see her and I want to make her smile and I want her to hold my hand and I think she’s beautiful and weird and sweet and I—”
She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.
“…Oh thank god.”

Summary
Once Rumi was chosen by the honmoon, Celine made it clear she could not die before the next hunters. The honmoon had been reforged by Mi-Yeong's love of Rumi, and Celine’s love of Mi-yeong. If Rumi were to die before three replacements could mend it, she would be assuring the destruction of the world as they knew it.
At first she was too young to realize the weight, then she had the constant goal of a golden honmoon, and a promised future with her girls. As long as she made it gold, life could be worth it.
But on the night of the Idol Awards, three women would have their worlds split apart.
One holding regret for her inaction.
One holding onto a mistake that would haunt her every waking moment.
And another who would survive the impossible.
Faced with the betrayal of a single moment, Rumi flees. She would protect the honmoon at all costs, even if that means a life hiding from the people she believes will kill her. Even if the honmoon abandons her along the way.
