Summary
The Lamplighter is your average, underappreciated working man. He works tirelessly, 10 hours per sunless day, to provide the Refuge with light by replenishing the red phosphor lamps around the city. The pay is shit. The conditions are shittier. And for all this hard work, he doesn’t get a single thanks. No breaks, either.
However, when trying to find the stairs after the elevator broke, he hears a commotion from the office. He finds a cute, little girl stuck in the trash can, and decides he deserves a quick break.

As of April 2016, The database that stores works on A03 does not allow emoji. If you try to add an emoji it will end your story there. Any words after the emoji? Poof. Gone. This is a known, if poorly advertised, issue with the archive.
There are some workarounds; you can find them in: How to Make iOS Text messages on A03. But here? Here is for ALL THE EMOJI*.
