Red lightwaves, on the other hand, never reach the deep ocean. Most deep sea organisms don’t even have photoreceptors to see that color. It’s practically invisible to them. If their specimen is truly from the deep, it will likely be unaffected by red lights.
They come on with a flick of Grace’s finger – two wide beams turning the water blood red. Something stirs in the back of the tank. A long, lithe shape. Too far back for the lights to illuminate properly. Grace leans into the barrier, until his nose brushes the acrylic, but it evades him, even under the light.

Life on Erid is... he doesn't even know how to describe it.
His first few years were hectic, turbulent, and full of uncertainty, but now he enjoys a beautiful little biome to call his own, complete with his own beach, his own home, and his own classroom, where he gets to practice the profession he loves.
Unfortunately, not everything is sunshine and rainbows. Humans are meant to be with other humans—they're social creatures—and Grace desperately needs another human around if he wants to stop feeling so lonely, so... unique on Erid.
So he starts recording videos, pretending he's talking to someone—someone he can tell every damn thing that's happened to him throughout his life.

Grace has no choice but to go with Rocky’s insane plan. They needed to find a way to keep him from starving, and it seemed that taking a detour to a lonely moon with red spots on it was their only choice.
Simon wakes up on a ship in space after having been through hell, and now the alien and the strange human wants him to go back down to the blood moon to help them find food.
It’s not like he trusts them, but he also doesn’t have a choice, completely at their mercy and in their dept.Together they have to navigate a barren lands and a space prison to somehow find food, all while the new captain of the moons station is after them.
Or: The one where Rocky and Grace go fishing and find some dude. Cue civil war.

Summary
Hiccup the Useless was not a fighter. He wasn't much of anything at all. He was a fine blacksmith, but even then people preferred to talk to Gobber when dropping off or picking up their gear. Hiccup could barely lift an axe or hammer, let alone wield one, which was why he had never been in dragon training and certainly wasn't expected to fight dragons. He was nowhere to be found during raids and even the increasing number of rogue dragons flying solo had never involved him.
It makes sense, in hindsight, how no one had realized he was barely ever in the village anymore, even if it was strange how he'd gone from being a constant nuisance to a nonpresence overnight. What didn't make sense was why was he found unconscious in the middle of the night wearing strange armor and down a leg.
While most didn't care about his accident and Stoick's only reaction was to restrict Hiccup's movements for his protection, Astrid was determined to figure out what Hiccup was hiding out in the forest.
Come along for Season One of Kings of the Wilderwest: a story where Hiccup never joined dragon training and, as a result, his friendship with Toothless wasn't exposed quite so soon.
