“I was told not just anyone can afford you.”
His hands itched with the urge to touch him, his body screaming to simply feel the warmth of Will’s skin while his mind reminded him how wrong it was, but then again, how could he not? Will was half-naked, grinding in his lap, right on top of his throbbing erection.
“Mike-”
“Do you have another client after this?” Mike interrupted.
Nothing else mattered anymore. No matter how this night ended, he wasn't going to let Will end up in another man's arms.
“I'll pay double to have you tonight.”
Or Mike decides to visit Will in New York, at the club where he works on his birthday, and ends up discovering that his best friend is a stripper.

Summary
“Come on,” Mike argues. “Think of it like… a test drive. You’ll get the full Mike Wheeler boyfriend experience. It’s miserable! You’ll be over me in no time!”
They only have one last summer before they go off to college, and Will is sick of keeping his cards so close to his chest. So, in a fit of alcohol-induced bravery, he tells Mike everything.
Instead of breaking his heart, Mike proposes a deal: they’ll date for the summer. Get Mike out of Will’s system, show him he makes for a lousy boyfriend anyway, and make sure there aren’t any what-ifs waiting for him in New York.
No stone left unturned, after all.
Or: Summer brings clouds, nostalgia, and the all-consuming fear of change. They deal with it.

Will didn’t consider himself a promiscuous man. For him, it was Henry alone. It had been that way for more than ten years now. He was monogamous. He was loyal. He had no interest in what other men saw when they looked at him. The only man whose eye he wanted to catch was Henry’s. With that eye being harder and harder to reel in lately, he was feeling needier than ever. Which was probably why Mike’s attention filled him with such heat and pride. He was still desirable. He could still drive a man to distraction.
