The scars there were just as he remembered, waxy, pale scar tissue raised up in a couple of slashes across his skin. Roach wanted to run his fingers along the line of them but clenched his hand in a fist instead.
“That’s a pretty good story.” He half-mindedly replied before tearing his eyes away, glancing up to find Ghost’s on him already.
They were warm and mirthful like they had been but there was a heavy edge to the way Ghost maintained eye contact with him and made Roach’s breath catch in his throat.
He was frozen there where Ghost held him captive for a few, seemingly forever, moments before he spoke again.
“Guess I was feelin’ nice enough today.” His voice was quieter, like it was reserved just for Roach to hear.

It so happened that Kenobi was passing by. It so happened that Jango might have (with emphasis on might) swung the pan a bit too enthusiastically.
Which brought Fett to the present moment.
Kenobi was sprawled on the floor, unconscious, blood splattering on the floor, light hair surrounding his hair like it was a halo. A treacherous pan was still firmly grasped in Jango’s hand.
The cameras were rolling. The phones were out. The film crew was in a frenzy, everyone running around in fear. Some were calling the ambulance. Some were trying to wake Kenobi up. There was screaming. There was shouting. Myles was trying to give Kenobi first aid.
Jango Fett, a soon-to-be-one-star Michelin (he did retain two stars at his previous job though for good five years) chef, an owner of the best new restaurant in London, a culinary sensation and a budding celebrity chef (also a single parent of one and an absolute disaster of a human being) was officially fucked.

Or, Jango Fett is a chef and a royal asshole who recently relocated to London. Obi-Wan Kenobi is a restaurant manager. They happen to meet in a rather unconventional manner.

"Um, no," he says, shaking his head. "I'm not negotiating for my safety." He steps aside. “I’m negotiating for theirs.”
They walk into the light of the open doorway; Simon, squinting hard against the vivid sun with his hand raised to shield his eyes and Rocky, who chirps a casual "Hello, humans!" with a wave.
There’s a gasp; someone takes a step backward; one of the military personnel raises their rifle slightly.
Grace doesn’t have eyes for them - he only looks at Stratt.
And he decides, then and there, to replace the image of Stratt’s face sending him to his death, full of remorse and sadness, with the one in front of him: utter, complete disbelief.

Simon’s eyes are red-rimmed, but Grace’s glad that he’s managed to surprise just the tiniest smile from him. “I’m not pinky promising, that shit’s for babies,” he says, eyeing Grace’s extended pinky with mock disdain.
“Then how am I supposed to know you’ll keep your promise?” Grace shoots back.
“We gotta seal the deal with something else,” Simon says seriously.
