I wasn't supposed to be here.
At first, I convince myself it's just a bizarre coincidence. Ryland Grace exists. He's real. He's just a teacher... just a man I was never supposed to meet, and definitely never supposed to fall for.

The impossible becomes impossible to ignore, and I realise this isn't just his world.
It's his story.
And I know exactly how it ends.

So instead, I stay.
I stand beside him as everything slowly falls apart, offering reassurances I can't explain and hoping that somehow, somehow, knowing him might change what's coming.

As a result his chronic pain only gets worse and worse, leading him to follow his doctor's advice and seek out music lessons because those supposedly can help where physical therapy and meds can't.
That's how a slightly hollow and broken Pro-hero shows up at your door, wanting to learn how to play the piano with his huge, very scarred hands that match your tea set.
