"Father," Scorpius whined jokingly. "You know I spent my whole summer with you, right? You're not losing your memory, are you?"
"It is your seventh year, Scorpius," he said. This sobered the seventeen year old effectively. It would be his last year at Hogwarts. It was already starting off splendidly, with the train dropping them off just before the weekend, giving them all ample time to settle into their dormitories and spend some time walking the grounds. Even so, it was ever so bittersweetly his last year. One last year of Quidditch games, Hogsmeade weekends, and library breakdowns… NEWTS. One last Halloween feast. One last set of birthdays in the halls. One last year of being a child. One last chance with Albus. Just one.

"What a mind," he sighed. Mike smiled brightly in Will's direction, closing the notebook to look at him.
