Summary
Minho, a gentle young angel, secretly watches the human world from the Sunline — the glowing boundary between heaven and earth. Angels are meant to judge humans, not love them, but Minho is captivated by their imperfect beauty. When a friend calls his name too loudly, Minho startles, slips, and falls through the Sunline.
His fall draws the attention of all Creatures of the Veil, including Jisung a demon who feels celestial disturbances like earthquakes. Jisung rushes to help, but Minho mistakes him for a threat and unleashes an uncontrolled radiant burst before running deeper into the woods.
Minho collapses near a clearing, overwhelmed and hopeless — until he hears children laughing. Drawn to their warmth, he hides shyly behind the trees. The children spot him, but instead of fear, they greet him with curiosity and kindness. They curl up around him, trusting him completely.
For the first time since falling,
Minho feels safe.

“I think I’m sick, hyung,” Minho whispered—Chan walked ahead, and gently rubbed Minho’s knuckles, going over the boxing scars as he did. “I don’t know what’s going on.”
“Try telling me.”
Minho exhaled sharply, taking a few moments to articulate what he wanted to say mentally. “It’s like… I feel so unenthusiastic about everything? I don’t know what’s happening—my metabolism has died and I don’t feel the taste of food in my mouth anymore. I—I’m trying not to exaggerate but everything feels so slow and agonizing. I can’t sleep and I can’t stay awake. I feel so… disassociated.”
