Summary
Enid’s voice was distant. Wednesday’s vision was dark.
Her lungs inflated with a sharp gasp. And then she was falling, plummeting, trying to hold on to herself, to not lose control, but everything was crashing down on her at once, and she couldn’t help it, she couldn’t—
“Wens,” Enid barely murmured into her ear, and Wednesday burst, splintering into a thousand tiny shards.
OR
Wednesday is bad at feelings (bless her soul). Enid teaches her that it’s okay to fall apart sometimes.

Summary
“Enid?” she asked. There was no response for a moment except for some quiet scrabbling inside. Worry tugged unexpectedly in Wednesday’s chest, as she thought of the borderline catatonic state Enid had been in when she’d last seen her. She wanted to say are you okay? but what came out was, “Are you decent?” Those weren’t even remotely equivalent questions. She exasperatedly shook her head at herself.
“Um, y-yeah…” Enid’s voice came shakily from the other side of the door. “Just a sec.”
After her encounter with Crackstone and the Hyde, Wednesday is having a hard time processing all of the strange emotions going on in her head. She's trying her best not to think as she tends to her wounds, but when Enid is forced to ask for her help, she realizes that she isn't the only one having a bad night. Without her even realizing it, she begins processing her own feelings by focusing on Enid's instead.

Summary
Wednesday tries to stay expressionless at first, biting her lip and breathing through her nose as Enid carefully stitches the arrow wound.
But as Enid works, one stitch after another, Wednesday's facade begins to crumble. The pain, combined with her exhaustion and the gentle efficiency of Enid's touch, starts to overwhelm her.
****
Or: Wednesday is far from unscathed after everything Laurel and Crackstone have put her through. And as Enid tends to injuries both visible and hidden, Wednesday finds herself leaning in instead of flinching away.

Summary
Enid had been dying to tell someone about the horrible news Ms. Capri told her earlier today…and honestly? Wednesday was the only one she wanted to share it with.
No time like the present.
---
Or, with no hyde/Galpin plotline in season 2, Enid can ask Wednesday for more help controlling her alpha transformations...and so what if Wednesday keeps showing up with candles and books and music to keep her company? Enid is totally fine with all that.
Even if it is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for her.
Even if it means her crush just gets bigger and bigger.
Even if it means Wednesday looks beautiful under the light of the flames...
Uh oh.
