Summary
Marriage was never an option for them. Not when they're both fatui harbingers - the top ranks within Snezhnaya's military force. Such "love"(even if their archon is the god of love) is scandalous and forbidden when the goal is to literally overthrow the heavens themselves, much more so for the mad doctor and the greedy banker.
But that doesn't mean Dottore can't try, in his own little way, to have Pantalone for himself.
Or, Dottore gives a Trinity ring to his dear 'friend' Pantalone and they have say gex.

It’s Mitya, but the one on top of Valeriy is also Mitya. If that’s Mitya, then who’s the one on top of him right now? He doesn’t know what’s going on.
Mitya stands up from the bed, as though to deal with the other Mitya. Valeriy joins them.
“You’re a fake!” the other Mitya exclaims.
“That’s rude, you’re the fake one,” Mitya replies.
The other Mitya turns to face Valeriy and places his palm against his chest. “I’m Mitya, don’t believe him.”
“No, I’m Mitya, trust me,” Mitya argues while imitating the action of the other Mitya.
The other Mitya cranes his head to the side to where Mitya is standing. “Prove it. If you really are Mitya, then how well do you know him? There are things about him that only I know and no one else. I bet you don’t even know where his sweets spots are.”
“I know he has a beautiful scar on his inner thigh,” Mitya says.
