Summary
A sequel to The Monster and the Lunatic that picks up right where the last one left off! Well, skipping the end of the finale that was exactly like canon except for having a couple more vampires in it. You'll note that Avid made it out this time, still a vampire and totally unkilled. So did Pyro, though he won't appear here. The previous story was definitely an Aviscott romance. This is more a story of the new coven that happens to have Aviscott in it.
The four members of the Goldsmith Coven finally leave Oakhurst. They plan to move to London, but they have a serious task to complete first -- helping Avid bury his found-sister Elle, who he left dead on the floor of their cabin when he fled to Oakhurst in the first place.
Yeah, right. You didn't think that was going to go to plan.

Former title: Truth is in the Blood
The end of Episode 7 is beautiful and awful and right for the story, but when I wiped away my tears I still wanted to see the dynamics of a thousand-year-old vampire and a crazy kid. Both of them are a total mess in different ways, but for their fleeting moment, it looked like they might be messed up in ways that could help each other become better. You'd have to be crazy to love a monster.
There are many fics in Vampires SMP about unkilling Avid. This is mine. A lot of Avid Lives fics are about giving him and Scott a happy ending. I think of mine as giving them a messy, deeply flawed, but hopeful beginning.

This is a standalone sequel to Turns of Fate.
Scott doesn’t have an easy job managing all those fledglings.
Avid/Laetus (he is about to change his name) and Owen are menaces who can’t seem to get along, especially when you throw a doctor into the mix… Sometimes words fly. Drift and Shelby are starting to look like menaces too, but they need to learn to spit it out.
Abolish have something in store for all of them though…
This fic hopes to answer the question: What happens if you shake a hornet’s nest, given that the hornets are vampires and the nest is an inescapable bubble…?!

Summary

Summary
After her father's death, Shelby's mother sends her to live with her distant cousin. Scott Goldsmith's Manor is beautiful, and much too large for just him, his butler, and his gardener, so he welcomes his cousin with open arms. She is given just two rules; do not disturb Scott when he is working in his study, and do not leave the Manor's grounds.
In the enormous library of the Manor, she searches for answers - proof of what happened to her father. But she soon may find that the proof she is seeking may be closer, and hungrier, than she ever thought.
