"...This is our new pool boy, Ilya!” David’s voice cut off as he reached the pool.
Shane, whose eyes were closed until this point, scrunched his face. He already knew someone of the name Ilya, and it wasn’t a pleasant connection. He opened his eyes and was turning his head towards the end of the pool, when he saw the person his dad was talking to. Standing there in the warm summer light in dark blue shorts and a white half unbuttoned shirt was Ilya Rozanov. The one and only Ilya Shane knew. His curls glittered and his skin looked even more golden than under the harsh arena lights the few times they met up on the ice over the season. Shane’s face scrunched up even more.
He didn't like summers and this one was quickly becoming his least favourite yet.
