Summary
After the Zanpakutō Rebellion, Zangetsu had remained manifested -- and would continue to be until Muramasa's power faded from their system. Ichigo had thought that was it, that they could just go home and wait it out. Turns out that having his Zanpakutō Spirit manifested for so long is not without consequences.
Or: Zangetsu is suffering a few "little" side-effects from staying manifested for days on end, and this becomes Ichigo's problem to handle.

The itch to be useful was painful and never went away until it was thoroughly scratched. He hadn’t found a way to be helpful to any of his friend since he had nothing of value to offer them, but now things had changed ever so slightly.
Keigo pulled his bottom lip between his teeth and sucked gingerly as his brown eyes rolled over to a familiar form. It had been a mere year since Ichigo had lost his powers, and while everyone else carried on like normal, Keigo was the only one who noticed that Ichigo couldn’t. Sure, Chad and Orihime avoided the topic of Hollows and Soul Reapers, choosing to pretend they never existed, and Uryū didn’t openly speak of that world unless Ichigo directly asked, all of them doing their best to avoid the rough subject. Keigo was the only one to see that the knowledge of his friends battling without him was tearing him apart. Ichigo faked his happiness. Something he had done for years, long before he became a Soul Reaper, and perfected over time. That scowl on his face always mislead others. Strangers thought of him as a punk and his friends thought he was his normal self, but Keigo didn’t believe any of that. He knew a mask when he saw one.

Summary
After the events of the Golden Banquet, Xie Lian is nailed to a coffin and suffers death for a few centuries. He's found by some shady people and when they realize he's immortal, they take him to a city on the borders of the Mortal Realm and the Ghost Realm. When he's sold to a brothel, he learns very quickly that there will be no escape for him unless someone takes pity and buys him out of servitude. He's had to learn to survive in this foreign world, even foregoing his cultivation to satisfy customers. But there's rumors going around of a certain Ghost King in town. What happens when this Ghost King sets his sight on this brothel, on Xie Lian?
TLDR: Xie Lian is sold to a brothel and Hua Cheng finds out and decides to buy him out. But Xie Lian doesn't trust this dashing, rich young man.

Summary
Xie Lian remembered that there had been a time where rules felt like cliffs.

If he wanted to cross a mountain to deliver a single lucky talisman, Hua Cheng walked beside him with amused devotion.
Rules had always existed, of course but Hua Cheng simply regarded them as suggestions.
or: Xie Lian ascends as a deity of motherhood and children- and dealing with heaven isn't so bad when you have a ghost king for a husband, and a god for a son.
