Summary
In the aftermath of Suguru Geto’s defection from Jujutsu High, two lives begin moving in opposite directions. Meanwhile, Gojo struggles to reconcile the memories of the boy he grew up with against the infamous curse user the jujutsu world now demands he execute.
Told through alternating perspectives, the story explores grief, loyalty, found family, and the quiet moments that continue to exist between tragedy and conflict. Scott thinks for a long minute. He knows that being able to identify his feelings should be an easy thing to do but after centuries of ‘repression’ as Shelby would say he’s lost practice. “I do get the same feeling of not wanting to immediately rip his head off, but there's also something… different.” Shelby nods encouraging him to continue. “Theres a sense of familiarity to him but I know I’ve never seen him around before coming here and he doesn't have the features of a vampire. I think there's also- I feel a sense of softness towards him. And I feel like a sickness in my stomach when he smiles.”
Shelby smiles insanely wide. “Scott, I have been waiting for this day since we left Oakhurst. I think you have a crush on this guy!”
Scott blinks. Slowly. “No… I, don't want to crush him.”
or: Scott meets a cute guy on the subway and learns how to love again... and then avid shows back up as a demon.
