Summary
Harry punches him. In the nose. And then steps back, horrified, an apology on the tip of his tongue, but Malfoy lunges for him and topples him to the ground, Harry’s head hitting the floor with a thud.
Harry grabs Malfoy by the hair, his head still spinning, and rolls them over until he’s pinning Malfoy down. Malfoy struggles, and Harry releases his hair – so soft – to grab his wrists instead, pushing them to the floor.
Malfoy stares up at him, rage in his eyes, his chest heaving. He looks more alive than Harry’s ever seen him. And he’s glorious.
And Harry can’t help himself any more. So he presses his lips to Malfoy’s, just for a moment.
And Malfoy completely freezes up under him, and Harry’s stomach lurches as he realises what he’s done, and he leaps off and pelts off down the corridor.
OR: When Harry and Draco are partners for the rebuilding of Hogwarts during Eighth Year, they discover a new way to ease the tension between them, and end up mending more than just the castle.
