Summary
A bitter storm brews in the valley surrounding the atelier. One by one, each of its residents seek shelter and comfort in a certain flame witch's tower.

A low grumble of thunder rolls through the valley outside the atelier. Storms weren't uncommon this time of year, but the deluge of rain hammering against the roof and windows made Olruggio sigh and hang his head in preemptive defeat. There would most definitely be a leak for him to fix in the morning.
A serpentine flash of light slices through the midnight sky. Olruggio counts the seconds under his breath until the answering roar of thunder follows. It’s close. He sets his pen back into its cradle on his work table and his eyes wander to the door of his tower. It wouldn't be long until Qifrey came to him, like he did every time the rain got bad.

Coco was 8 years old when they first met. By all means, it shouldn’t have been possible. There was no reason for them to meet. Coco should have been off with her mother, enjoying the festival and roasted strawberries. But it did happen. All because Coco had been curious. She had always been too curious for her own good. The curiosity that had led her to the strange witch with the eye mask. It was also responsible for her meeting the smaller witch. That urged her to get closer. To extend her hand. To choose kindness and be taught in kind. And Coco would never regret it. Not when that one meeting changed her life.
