Summary

Summary
Remus died. He died, and went to the train station, and could not find it within himself to move on.
Then Harry came to give him another option: to travel to another universe, get a second chance, and live his life again. He took it. He wanted to give his friends the second chance they deserved. He wanted a better ending to their stories, or with any luck no ending at all, just a life to be lived. Remus had no particular faith that he was would have enough of an impact to make any real difference, but if he could change even one thing, it would be to save James' life, which would also preserve Sirius' freedom and sanity.
But once in the past, looking at his school days from an adult perspective, there was just so much wrong. Saving James was his most important long-term goal. Short-term, though? A lot of the Marauder's pranks crossed the line. Snape in particular was clearly unhappy. He could help with that. Maybe if Snape was less resentful it might even help towards the goal of saving James and Lily! Intervening certainly couldn't have any side effects. Remus just wasn't that important.

Summary
Izuku closes the app entirely, opening his photos to find something to distract his racing mind. There’s a few pictures of himself and Ochako together, clicking one he smiles at their zoomed in faces squished together cheek to cheek. He swipes to the next selfie, feeling his heartbeat calming and his anxiety lessening as he forces himself to remember how happy he was in each one. Again, he moves on to the next picture. A shaky shot of Ochako, drinking from a glass stacked comically high with swirls of whipped cream.
His phone buzzes, a message notification popping up at the top of his screen with Kacchan’s name across it. He’s opening it before he can think to regret it–hands shaking.
Kacchan: Can’t this weekend. Taking Eijirou mountain climbing.
Kacchan: Maybe next time.
He breaks his phone.

Izuku has the suit, he's courting Ochako finally, and he has a career he loves. He's happy, isn't he?
So why does it bother him so much when he finds out his childhood friend is courting Kirishima, and why can't he get Kacchan's scent out of his head?

As Daniel looks over the newspaper, he realizes the options are bleak. Dishwasher, retail associate, tax preparer. Each has its perks, like free food, employee discounts at his mom’s favorite store, and– actually he’s not sure what he would gain from helping people do their taxes, he’d probably commit fraud by accident somehow. But each one sounds fucking awful and gets a big fat X drawn overtop it.
It’s not until the word ‘typist’ catches his attention that he finally circles a job before his arm can start to feel heavy and useless. If Daniel was paying attention, he would’ve seen SECRETARY plastered above it.
