Keith zvedl váček s krystaly a upřel na svou ruku překvapený výraz – ten malinký sáček byl těžký.
„Kolik jsi toho dneska v noci vydělal?“ zeptal se nevěřícně.
„Ehm, pravděpodobně tolik, co ty?“
„Vydělal jsem pět krystalů, Lanci, byla to jen dvouhodinová šichta jako hlídač – tohle mi připadá jako pětadvacet? Třicet?“
Lance pokrčil rameny, aniž by se Keithovi podíval do očí, zatímco si až příliš pečlivě uklízel oblečení. Zamumlal číslo – očividně doufal, že si Keith trpěl náhlou ztrátu sluchu – ale ne, Keith to slyšel čistě a jasně.
„Ty jsi vydělal čtyřicet krystalů, za jedinou noc?!“

„Vy… jste jako Lance. A Keith.“
Hunk vydal zoufalý, pištivý zvuk. Pidge vyrazila dopředu, ale ovládla se, když na ni žena namířila kulovnicí.
„Jsme tady, abychom je vzali domů,“ promluvil Shiro klidně, s takovým druhem klidu, který si byla jistá, že nikdo z nich necítil.
Lance a Keith byli pryč jedenáct měsíců, jeden týden a tři hodiny. Tým Voltron přistává na bezejmenné planetě a vydává se hledat Červeného a Modrého paladina. Avšak namísto toho nacházejí Dva McClainy, pár zjizvených a nemilosrdných námezdných kovbojů.

He had to shield his eyes with his hand from the bright moonlight shining through the window on the opposite end of the hallway, his eyes already used to the pitch black of his own apartment. Grumbling, he crossed the small distance between his and Keith's doors. The whimpers, before mostly lost in the louder sounds of Kosmo's claws intensified, erratic and pitiful.
Did Keith really leave him closed in there?

“I hate it,” Roy says heavily, and it’s surprisingly freeing to admit out loud. He sits back in his seat, feeling like an elephant has stepped off his chest.
