Summary
Jaeyun. Sunghoon mouths the word. The word seems to want to be in his mouth, and once it is in his mouth, it sits there cozy and warm.
“Jaeyun?” He says it out loud, the name, and he gets no response. The body is fully unconscious now but still breathing. Sunghoon looks at him, at Jaeyun, and he understands that there’s no one else here, that there’s no boat that has come in, no shipwreck.
I cannot leave this here, he thinks. I cannot leave this here, and I cannot bring any other person near it, because if anyone else came near it I don’t know what would happen, what they would do, and I do not want to know.
And then there is another thought underneath all of these. This washed up onto my sand. This is for me.
Or: For six years, the sea has been Park Sunghoon’s only company. Then she gives him Jaeyun.

"There's always suffering before a death. Can you take it?"The one where the world as Jay knows it, is in a crisis. The world is overrun with ferals, mindless, notorious beings that stalk the cities and crawl into small villages. They're a threat, a large one at that, and Jay---Well, Jay doesn't give a shit. One would reckon that he should. That he's human and as un-presented as he is on top of that, there were many reasons to be worried.
Thing is, no one's ever given him a reason to be worried. He's him. That is, until he reaches the Academy, an infamous school known for graduating full packs: werewolves, vampires, magics---whatever, all in the efforts of depleting the feral population. They want hunters, trained killers, and Jay plans on coming out as just that. Alone; A pack all in himself.
In hindsight, maybe this is truly where he should've started to worry.

Summary
Jay sighed. "He's so pretty but he doesn't know how to take it."
Sunghoon's eyebrows knitted at their referring to him as if he wasn't sitting right there. Not that he could add anything substantial: he just took another bite. The soup is so hot he nearly spat it out back into his bowl, but he's sure that would have accelerated the situation.
"What are you talking about? Sunghoon takes it," Sunoo said. He was glad someone at the table would defend his honor. "Maybe he just doesn't with you?"
