    “Would the honorable Mobei-Jun agree?”

    “WHAT!?”

    There’s a loud crash, and everyone’s attention instantly flicks over to Shang Qinghua standing off the side. He seems to have dropped some large platter of something - he should not be doing something so lowly as serving things, he’s not a servant any longer. But it is very typical of him to mindlessly reach out and start doing whatever unfinished tasks he sees before him, grumbling all the while as if someone is forcing him into it. Right now, he looks gobsmacked. Pale and wide eyed and gaping in shock, looking shaken to his core.

    “Marriage!?” Shang Qinghua demands, his voice high and strangled.

    I had never felt drawn to Moshang as a ship prior to reading this fic. They honestly felt like a bargain bin WangXian to me. Just cheap comic relief characters without much depth.

    Ho boy did this fic change my mind. It was so good at portraying Shang Qinghua and Mobei Jun’s dynamic (honestly better than how their relationship came across in canon).

    Prim, has anyone ever told you you’re amazing?

    Right, the villain's beautiful daughter, who had caught a glimpse of the Protagonist from afar and, naturally, fell madly in love at first sight. She'd used her knowledge of her father's lair to sneak into the dungeon where Luo Binghe was being held and eventually proved the key to his escape, betraying her father for love. "So, you want to try to find some random girl who's willing to sneak in past the guards to Luo Binghe's prison and..."

    "What random girl could we possibly trust? I'll do it myself!"

    "You know what," Shang Qinghua said. "Somehow I feel like I should have expected this."

    Shen Qingqiu self-detonated at Hua Yue City, but he didn't die. Instead, he wakes up to a world where Cang Qiong is victorious and Luo Binghe has been imprisoned beneath the mountain. What's a poor transmigrator to do? He has to find a way to free the Protagonist before he breaks out and razes the Sect to the ground! Clearly, the best way to do this is to pretend to be one of Luo Binghe's future wives.

    Six years ago, Shen Qingqiu escaped his plot-ordained death by secretly cultivating a new body. His rebirth came at a cost, however: the loss of his memories.

    Now, Shen Yuan claws his way out of the dirt with no idea where he is, who he is supposed to be, or why his System is malfunctioning. What he does have is a very devoted disciple, Bai Wentian, who claims that they are wandering cultivators who've known each other for years. As they set out to explore the world together, Shen Yuan finds himself becoming increasingly fond of this sweet, loyal young man. But although he recognizes the setting of Proud Immortal Demon Way, he soon realizes that this story is different: something, or someone, has substantially altered the plot.

    To uncover the truth, Shen Yuan will have to restore his missing memories… while also protecting Bai Wentian from this world's chief danger: the protagonist himself, Luo Binghe.
