"We can win the World Cup together."
Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "We?"
"Of course!" Naruto replied. "Me and you! We'll play for Japan! And we'll win."
Sasuke stared at him. Then, to Naruto's astonishment, he smiled.
"Fine," he said. "Let's win the World Cup, idiot. Just get better first."
"Together?" Naruto said, holding out his hand.
"Together."

“Gotcha.” CK pulls out a plastic baggie from his mountain of wrappers. He rips it open to reveal a Robin toy. Jason groans.
“Nice. How many of these are there? Maybe I should collect them.” He grabs a little folded paper and smooths it out on the table. “Glow-in-the-dark Nightwing? Awesome.”

“Who are you? And what are you doing here?”
What is—?
He’s…
He’s awake. He’s upright. The fire splitting his spine is entirely gone. Instead there’s a fist pressed against his chest nearly hard enough to bruise, keeping him pinned to the wall behind him.
And Leon Kennedy is glaring at him, eyes angry and distrusting—and cold, that’s the strange thing. Cold, as if Luis didn’t take his last breath before those very same eyes not thirty seconds ago.
(Or: Luis, in a time loop.)

Summary
For someone he'd hero-worshipped for so long, Steve Rogers in the flesh is a pretty big disappointment. For one thing, he keeps looking at Tony as though he reminds him of someone else, and even if he never says anything, Tony's pretty sure it's his father. A lifetime of not measuring up to Howard's expectations is more than enough, thank you very much, and he's certainly not going to make an effort to live up to any of Steve's. Steve's pretty clearly failed to live up to his expectations, in any case, and that's not hypocritical at all.

An exploration of Katsuki's line "if everyone's special to you, nobody is", and how it pertains to his relationship with Izuku.
“I don’t think I’m that special to you,” Katsuki says finally, “I think your heart’s too damn big for devotion. That’s why your love’s scattered all over the fuckin’ place, like a bunch of dandelion tufts dropping willy-nilly on any place that’d let ‘em land.”

“Do you have any other questions about gay sex and or my private life, or are you satiated?” Kiyoomi quips unfairly accurately.
“Pain in my ass,” Atsumu mutters, receiving a low hum in response. “But no, ‘m all set, thanks.”
“Ok,” Kiyoomi stands from the couch, looking down at Atsumu like one might look at a bug, and says, “shall we get started then?”
And Atsumu feels the exact moment his soul leaves his body.
“Huh?!”
miya atsumu and sakusa kiyoomi are two individuals plucked from trees not dissimilar, much to their objections. they’re standoffish and forthright, they live and breathe volleyball and won’t sell themselves short in its regard — another thing they have in common? their completely pathetic and unrequited crushes on their respective close friends.
they both need to move on, and what’s the best way to get over someone? by getting under someone else, even if they are your teammate, and next door neighbour.

Summary
"You're a hero no matter what," Katsuki said firmly, desperately, "so you don't have to quit."
Because that had to be the problem. Izuku didn’t think he could do it, but he could. He could do anything, or not use any support item at all, and he’d still be twice the hero Katsuki would ever be.
Izuku’s eyes went soft and sympathetic. “I know, Kacchan.”
...What?
-
Katsuki was glad Izuku was fine, obviously. He'd just expected... something.
But expectations don't mean much in the aftermath of the war, and maybe heroism doesn't mean much, either.

Shouto’s worldview crumbles when he learns that Midoriya are Bakugou are not only not dating, but that they had never dated once in the nine years he's known them. So, he does what any good hero would do: Take matters into his own hands and bring his best friends together.
("Stop calling us best friends," Bakugou says, but Shouto knows he doesn't really mean it.
"I mean it," Bakugou says, more annoyed this time.)

Summary
Ivan wakes up in a grass field full of red flowers. The air is warm and dry, and Ivan breathes it in, the ghost of rain still running down his face and the image of Till’s shocked face smeared in his vision. A beautiful blue sky looms overhead.
On his left, a boy with gray hair lays beside him, fast asleep. Ivan thinks surely even death could not be this cruel. Ivan swallows as he skims his fingers over the boy’s face.
“Till.” He says, too softly for anyone to hear.
Till stirs, his eyelids twitch, but he doesn’t wake.
Ah.
Ivan wonders which part of this is the bad dream.

"Am I not allowed to talk to you?"
"We don't do talking." Not as Bruce and Jason. Not since the last time it blew up in his face. Literally.
"Well," Bruce keeps going, because he never knew how to take a fucking hint, "maybe we should start."
"Alright," he agrees, because it's funny. Because he misses him. Because it's been a shitty day, shitty week, shitty month, and it's worn him down. Because he's tired, and dizzy and nauseous. Because today, he really feels like ruining everything good he has left going for him. He's sick of the tension, and shouting and his blood on his father's hands. Best to blame the cigarettes. Must have made him anxious too. "Let's talk."
A look on Jason's skewed perception of love.

The feather taps once against his skin. Yes.
Dabi's never had someone who answers. Never had someone who listens, who provides, who kills without being asked and leaves the proof like a love letter.
He doesn't know who's watching. Doesn't know why. (Scarred. Broken. Worthless. Why would anyone choose him?)
He knows the feathers press close in his pocket. He knows the gifts keep coming. He knows that when he's hurt, someone bleeds for it.
It's not healthy. It's not sane.
It's the only love that's ever chosen him first.

Summary
Just the idea of having his soulmark disfigured or destroyed... it sent chills down Hawks’ spine. His own soulmate might be dead, but he couldn’t imagine not having Touya’s name marking his skin. The mere thought had him resisting the urge to pull his sleeve up and check to see it was still there.
Did Dabi do this to himself, he wondered? Did he burn his own soulmark away? The thought was incomprehensible. Dabi was a dangerous villain who was capable of many things, kidnapping, conspiracy, and murder just to name a few. But could someone, even someone like him, do something so vile to themselves? Even villains had to care about their soulmates, right?
--
Or, the Soulmate AU where the reason that Dabi knows Hawks' real name is because it used to be tattooed onto his skin.

Summary
And it’s finally quiet, in the hospital. Dark enough without the overhead lights that the entire wing feels calm and his body doesn’t twitch uncomfortably at the constant surveillance he’s under during the day. It’s quiet, and he’s alone.
Every day that he’s been out of surgery, that’s about the moment Izuku shows up.
He’s less and less unprepared for the sound of his door being opened at this hour, the mechanical click from the handle and the heavy, low squeak of the panel shifting slowly ajar. It’s been about a week, now. Even the first time, Katsuki had a hard time feeling the shock he tells himself he maybe should have.
Instead, like every other time, he feels relief.

Summary
Several quiet beats pass between them. Far away, the ruckus of the rest of the League echoes into the night. Everyone always goes buck wild after these meetings, all riled up.
Dabi holds his hand out. In the shadows it’s hard to see his face, even with Hawks’ eyesight.
“Light?” He offers again, flicking his fingers together. A tiny blue flame pops into existence in his palm and dances against the dark. It’s…sort of beautiful. Like a miniature star.
“…Yeah.” Hawks nods minutely and bridges the gap, stepping closer. He dips the cigarette into the small fire and lifts his hand to shield it from the wind.
Dabi shakes his head. “It won’t go out on its own. Don’t insult me, Birdie.”
Hm. Hawks isn’t sure if it’s the funny nickname or the first breath of nicotine, but he gets a head rush.
“Thanks.” He says, blowing out a cloud of smoke. Warmer already.

In the spring of 1817, Lord Touya Todoroki, the disgraced firstborn son of Duke Enji Todoroki of Sekoto, is quietly exiled to a remote northern estate. Once the pride of his family, he is now an embarrassment to be hidden, managed, and quietly forgotten.

“I wish I had,” he continued, “because I’ve wondered and wondered for so long. I wish I was brave enough to say how I felt like you are, because then maybe I wouldn’t have waited all these years to tell you my dream too.”

Contrary to his peers' nagging and what the ranking charts say, he never stopped chasing after what he wanted. Summary
When Jason died, Bruce immortalized on paper what grief refused to let him utter out loud, lest his loss become final and his defeat become permanent
Years later, a revived Jason would find those books and slowly piece together the shattered fragments of who his father was before he lost him, while reckoning with the fact that he was loved in every right way (and it had not saved him... and perhaps, it was never meant to)
And Bruce now has to reflect whether or not his inability to reconcile with uncontrollable changes in his son is brought upon by strategic bitterness or fear (or both, if god would allow it)
Because ultimately, there is no version of their family's story where one is totally in the right or wrong. There is only love; ugly, misguided, but honest, true love between people who are doing the very best they could.
