Summary
In Shane’s defense, he didn’t mean to eavesdrop. It’s just that, objectively speaking, Ilya’s friends were loud as fuck.
“How can you hate bottoming?” Troy’s voice rings out, clear as ever through the thin wall separating Shane from Ilya’s room. “Dude, having a dick in your ass is like, top three experiences of all time.”
Shane bites back a groan. How the fuck did their conversation even end up here?
“Is not like I hate it,” he hears Ilya huff. He can almost imagine the downward curve of Ilya’s pink lips, the pout-like shape to it, the bulge of his annoyingly shapely biceps as he crosses his arms… yeah, okay. That’s not a helpful train of thought. “It just never felt good for me. Guys would always just shove their cock in and call it a day.”
“Seriously?” That’s Wyatt’s voice now, chiming in incredulously. “Rozy, what kind of barbarians have you been hooking up with?”
(Shane overhears Ilya talking about how he’s never had a good bottoming experience. Naturally, he decides to take matters into his own very capable hands.)

Summary
All told he got into a couple scraps a year, but nothing to write home about – he didn’t instigate, he didn’t go too far. He kept his head level and focused on what it needed to be focused on: winning the game. Sure, one time he almost punched Scott Hunter’s lights out after a game, but whatever – he was emotionally compromised then, sue him. Mostly everyone assumed that was a weird blip and let it go, and he and Scott maintained enough professional friendliness at league events that everyone figured it wasn’t personal, which it wasn’t.
All of that to say that the more and more the media went on about Hockey’s Golden Boy, the more people forgot that Shane was, at the end of the day, just like any other professional hockey player. He knew how to throw a fucking punch. He just chose not to, most times, for strategic reasons.
It became apparent that people had forgotten this very key fact almost immediately after he joined the Centaurs.

Summary
Svetlana knows about Jane. It's frankly insulting for Ilyusha to think otherwise.
She just never expected to have to call him for help. During the Olympics. In Russia. In the dead of night.
-
Or, it's Sochi 2014 and Russia has lost to Latvia. Grigori Rozanov, not yet compromised by illness, punishes his son for shaming the family. When Svetlana finds an injured and emotionally fragile Ilya, she knows she needs somewhere safe for him to recover. Summary
[A video starts with the script 'My husband BEFORE & AFTER seeing me- A study by Ilya Hollander.' Shortly after the words disappear, Shane Hollander rounds a corner pulling a carry-on suitcase behind him as he walks out of an airport security post. His face is serious, his mouth in a thin line as he looks around, his eyes searching the crowd. When they land on Ilya Rozanov, his entire face softens, and he smiles, his pace picking up as he now walks determinedly towards his husband. When he reaches Ilya, he leans up to kiss him.]
Shane: Sorry, they had to re-scan my bag. I thought for sure they'd found the dild—
[He breaks off, noticing Ilya's phone pointing at him for the first time as he narrows his eyes at Ilya, but his smile doesn't change.]
Shane: Are you recording me?
Ilya: Yes.
[Shane rolls his eyes, but doesn't protest, wrapping an arm around Ilya's waist as they begin to walk.]
Shane: Come on. There's only two hours til our flight leaves, and I want to make sure we get a good seat at the gate.

Summary
Shane is the steady ground he stands upon, the hand that guides him, the very air that he breathes. They’re so entwined now, that Ilya is certain he would cease to exist if ever they were separated.
It’s maybe becoming a problem.
Or, 5 times Ilya and Shane try (and fail) not to be codependent, and 1 time they just give into it.
