Shane gets traded in the middle of the 2016/2017 season, just before the All-Stars. The Tuna Meltdown never happens and Shane and Ilya amicably decide to stop seeing each other but remain ‘friends’. Both are very ‘happy’ with this decision until Hollander is traded to Boston. Now they must work with each other on the same team while Shane wonders what the hell happened in Montreal to get him traded in the first place. The Boston Raiders learn that Shane Hollander is not a chicken, or a virgin (lol) like everyone believes. And the Metros learn just how important Shane was in winning those cups.
And Cliff Marleau is just trying to figure out why Ilya’s messages to Jane stopped.

Montreal conspires to offload Shane and Shane gets PETTY!! And trades to Boston. Both Hayden and Shane get beaten up in the locker room and a reporter starts to unravel the lack of evidence for the rivalry. Being “just friends” with Ilya may be harder than it looks.
Shane finally tells his very overbearing mother to back the fuck up. And finally tells Ilya he wants a future.Crowell loses his entire homophobic racist batshit marbles and there’s cheating afoot in the league. Marly and Hayden being cute and oblivious.
