Summary
When Castiel first saw the green-eyed stranger in the woods, he never imagined that he would find himself bound to the man and forced onto a boat, stolen away with his brothers from everything they’ve ever known. Dean is a brute, gruff and dangerous. Castiel wants so badly to hate him. Norsemen have a terrible reputation and Dean seems to be no different. But, for reasons unknown, Dean seems bent on protecting Cas instead of harming him as Cas had expected. When Cas sees Dean’s sword, he knows there is more to Dean and his brother than meets the eye.

Summary
That was the Summer of 1963, the Summer before he turned 21, when everybody called him "Cassie" and it didn't occur to him to mind. That was before President Kennedy was shot, before the Beatles came, when he couldn't wait to join the Peace Corps, and he thought he'd never find someone as great as his dad.
That was the summer they went to Kellerman's.

Summary
Norway, 795 a.D.
At the advent of the Viking Age, the sole heir to a Scottish-Gaelic kingdom is abducted and brought to Norway. Amidst a crisis of faith and a desperate fight for survival in a foreign land, all the while knowing that the endurance of his homeland is hanging on by thread, he’s forced to confront the blight he was groomed to hide for a lifetime.
Because Castiel, the blessed miracle of his bloodline and supposed salvation and peace-bringer, isn't what he pretends to be.
He's not Alpha.
He's Omega.

Summary
"In most cases, people fully presented with their subgender by the time they reached their mid-twenties. Some people showed as early as their mid-teens – those in rougher situations tended to present sooner. Dean presented as alpha at fifteen; Sam presented as a beta at seventeen.
Castiel, on the other hand, was always just Cas. An angel. Unaffected by subgender norms.
That is… until he wasn't."
--
In which Castiel presents as an omega on a case, and Dean beats around the bush (i.e. avoids his feelings) until there is no more bush to beat.
Sam is annoyed (as he should be), but is also a good friend and brother.
