There are Darkners who have words inscribed on their wrist. These words are meant to be the last words that will be said between them and their soulmate. For Tenna, it said "Just hang on for a bit." Would it be a promise to return that would go unfulfilled? Or maybe a desperate plea for one of them to stay alive? Tenna didn't want it to be either, but no Darkner can defy fate, right?
